Looking back on 2009 it was a really big year for me. I was struck down with pneumonia in June, went around the world in August, appeared in my first international campaign in November and started investing time into photography. It was a year I learnt new skills and made new friends, so I set my goals higher for 2010. Ever since the start of the year I've felt this buzzing energy around me. This wild creative energy that gushes my brain with ideas and keeps me awake almost every night to the point where my insomnia is kicking back in :(. I want to achieve big things this year, modeling is a priority. I feel I have more focus and determination. If I can survive a 38 day blitz around the world I can achieve anything (and so can you!).
On New Years Eve I was conceptualising my New Years Resolution. I find it easier to use a visual symbol rather than words to create a resolution because i can remember them more easily lol. I was talking about in 2010 it is my year, "The Year of the Phoenix", reborn from the ashes to achieve great things, and finding it's own in the world. The phoenix is what I picture this year to be, a creature of creativity, an unstoppable force. There have been so many ideas stuck in my head and I really want to get them out there in the world. They've been eating at me everyday... eating into my sleep patterns too.
Below are videos of the Sydney fireworks heralding 2010. I was there watching it but it seems better in the television broadcast seen below.
