Insider Pointers for Modelling Success

Updating my blog more regularly is one of the things I said I would do as part of my new year’s resolution so this is my attempt at doing so. Also, I have received messages from people asking me about tips I could share about modelling. Thank you for let me know that are a few people out there that believe I have something worthy to share, and thank you for giving me something to write about J.

Over the course of the next few entries, I have included information inspired by notes that from the blog of one of the photographers I’ve been following. His name is Cav P and he is a photographer based in the San Francisco Bay area. Here are some factors that he addresses mixed in with some of my personal input based on my experience.

Successful models are more than just pretty faces. Pretty faces can only get you so far. It involves research and soul searching, points I’ve touched on before in my blog. You need to make a decision based on what you want from the modelling industry, what it means to your personal life and your professional life, and weigh up your pros and cons.

Factors like your looks, attitude, body and exercise routines need to be assessed; your ability to network, treat modelling as a business, learning about this industry to self-managing your personal image should all be considered when you want to become a professional model.
