Treating your modelling as a business means that you base your success as defined on what YOU deem as success, not someone else. What is your modelling game plan? Ignorance is an excuse. The more you are informed about this industry the less people can lie and manipulate you.
Many people from different walks of life want to become a model, but no very little about being model and see just as something they should do because someone told them they should. The truth is that many as new models enter the industry everyday but very few make it as real models. Lack of knowledge about the industry is has lead to the majority of people with misconceptions about modelling and what is required. They mix up fact with fantasy.
It takes more than DNA to make a successful model, it takes thought and planning. Those that neglect a thought out game plan this will fall out pretty early in the game.
